The Teen Experience

Front door opens. Bedroom door closes. Headphones on.

He’s done with his long day, and you know you’re not gonna hear much about it.

This week, the arguments have been worse than usual. You two never seem to resolve anything.

Bitterness. Resentment. Distance.

He distracts himself with what he really loves – which these days seems to be video games, friends, and music.

Checked out. But where?

Where’s he gone? How has your relationship deteriorated so much in these last few years?

How did you get here?

What if something’s happened to him? Something you don’t know about?

What can you do? When you’re at odds, what can you do? You feel powerless – helpless.

But there is help. There is hope.

I’m really glad you found me. Here’s how we’ll do this. At the first session, I’ll talk with you. Then, I’ll start working on building a trusting relationship with your son.

I pride myself on working quickly. As a male therapist, young guys typically connect well with me and find themselves able to trust me after just a session or two.

I’ve done this countless times and use proven, researched techniques to connect with your son.

Once I have his trust, the goal is for him to open up, share more, and then take the next step in his life. And then the next one. And the next.

Being a young person might be harder than ever these days.

As a former teacher and youth pastor, I get it.

Your son needs a highly relatable professional who can gain his trust. I am confident we can create this environment within the first two sessions.

An understanding, skilled counselor to talk to can make all the difference. I will get on your son’s level – wherever that is – to help him make better decisions and live a more fulfilling life.

One thing is certain. You need change – now.

Your son’s struggles are real – and they aren’t going away on their own.

If he doesn’t get help, his grades, self-confidence, and relationships are likely to suffer – all resulting in years of struggle.

Struggling you don’t want. Struggle you can avoid.

Counseling with me is a significant move AWAY from all that hurt. A move toward healing.

A Move Toward Certainty

You’re already certain your son is worth it. You’re just trying to find the right person so you can both move forward.

To move away from doubt and toward a more positive, fulfilling future.

Call me today at (949) 799-2014. Let’s talk about how to make that certain, too.
